Stories as Seeds: Cultivating Change Through Lived Experience
June 24 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
$10This June, the Alliance for Collective Action invites you the next chapter of our signature series.
This follow-up to our sold-out Where Do We Go From Here? event continues the journey we began together—this time rooted in storytelling as a strategy for change. From culture to climate, from art to advocacy, this gathering will honor the power of lived experience and the many forms that story can take—oral, written, visual, embodied, and beyond.
Drawing from the theme of creativity and culture as catalysts for impact from Where Do We Go From Here?, we’ll explore how personal and collective narratives fuel systems change. We’ll uplift the abundant wisdom in our community—stories shaped by identity, place, and purpose—and offer practical tools to transform those stories into civic action.
This event also lands at a critical civic moment: Colorado’s interim legislative session. While the formal legislative calendar ends in May, the summer and fall months are when lawmakers are most available to meet with constituents, refine their priorities, and listen deeply. With bill titles pulled by December, now is the time to help communities shape the conversations that will influence the next session. This event will guide participants to sharpen their stories into tools for advocacy—through op-eds, testimony, direct engagement with legislators, and more.
