Welcoming Tymber Hudson to the Alliance Team

We are excited to welcome Tymber Hudson (she/they), our new Alliance Center Coordinator, to the Alliance team. Tymber will be at the front desk on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and looks forward to meeting you.

Tymber Hudson is a storyteller, artist, and advocate from rural Oklahoma who has always believed that the people closest to the pain should be closest to the power. Rooted in justice and liberation, Tymber’s work centers Black LGBTQIA+ communities; not just as a professional focus, but as a personal calling. From leading the Biden Foundation’s national “As You Are” campaign on family acceptance, to directing youth leadership and peer support programs at Youth MOVE National, to advising federal juvenile justice policy, their career has been built on one consistent thread: making sure community voices don’t just get heard, they get acted on.

Most recently, Tymber worked for Denver City Council and currently serves on the Denver Mayor’s Youth Commission, continuing to bridge the gap between young people’s lived experiences and the systems that shape their lives. For Tymber, this isn’t just work. It’s a lifelong commitment to dismantling what harms us and building what frees us.

Q: What interests you about The Alliance?

A: “I was initially drawn to The Alliance because of its unique focus on climate justice; an intersection I don’t often see centered in this kind of work. Supporting people has always been at the heart of what I do, and from the moment I came across this role, something clicked. But it was meeting the team and learning more about the mission that truly solidified it for me. There’s a rare energy in spaces where people are genuinely committed to the work, and I felt that immediately. The Alliance isn’t just doing good work; it’s doing the right work.”

Q: Why did you decide to join the team?

A: “During my job search, I wasn’t just looking for any role;  I was looking for the right team. I wanted to be somewhere that demonstrates its commitment to the community through practice, not just messaging. The Alliance embodies that. I’m also genuinely excited to learn from the organizations that move through this space, and to deepen my understanding of the ecosystems, partners, and movements that make this work possible. There’s something powerful about being in an environment where protecting the planet for future generations isn’t just a talking point; it’s the whole point.”
