Introducing Alicia Lozano, The Alliance Center Front Desk Assistant
We are excited to welcome Alicia, our new Front Desk Assistant!
Alicia is a Denver Native who has always been drawn to work that makes a difference. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Criminology with an emphasis in Cyber Security, but her real passion lies in building relationships and supporting mission driven work. She has traveled extensively, including several years living in New Zealand, and these experiences have broadened her perspective and deepened her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Her career in nonprofit and community development has been rooted in a relationship-focused approach. She thrives on supporting initiatives that create lasting impact and she believes in the power of human connection to drive meaningful change. Most recently, Alicia served as a partnership builder for a nonprofit in Denver that focused on connecting education, industry, and community to expand opportunities for students.
In her free time, Alicia loves to travel and spend time with her dog and husband doing the typical Colorado outdoor things. She loves cooking and trying new restaurants. She is also slowly working toward her private pilot’s license, though she admits that goal is still a ways off.
AFCA: What interests you about The Alliance?
AL: I was drawn to the strong sense of community the Alliance Center is building. I love how it brings people together from different backgrounds who share a commitment to making a positive impact. The focus on collaboration, sustainability, and mission-driven work makes it feel like a space where ideas and action come together in a meaningful way and I love that.
AFCA: Why did you decide to join the team?
AL: As someone who has spent most of my career in community-oriented, collaborative spaces that were heavily focused on making a difference, I knew I wanted to join an organization where I could continue that work. I was really excited to find a role that felt very aligned with my values that was still focused on building and fostering relationships but in a different way than I have in previous roles. I’m very excited about joining such a great organization and team at a time when the work we do feels more important than ever.
Welcome, Alicia! We are thrilled that you are joining us.
