DESCRIPTION:Join E2 and the Alliance for Collective Action for a thought-provoking talk from Auden Schendler about what’s needed to alter our present course on the climate crisis. Schendler\, a veteran of corporate sustainability\, will share highlights from his new book\, and we’ll hear his views about what we really need to move the needle on climate: strong policy at every level.  \n  \nSustainable business practices have been one piece of the toolkit to mitigate climate change since the 1990s. How are we to gauge the success of these corporate efforts? Schendler will discuss his perspective from his many years on the front lines. And new this year “Terrible Beauty: Reckoning with Climate Complicity and Rediscovering Our Soul”\, which former EPA head Gina McCarthy described as like “picking a lock on someone’s personal diary.”  A former Air Quality Control Commissioner and town councilman in Colorado\, Auden has also cooked burgers\, taught high school\, served as a medic on a rural ambulance service\, and climbed Denali\, North America’s highest peak.
